Firstly
a very big thank you to everyone who has visited the site to date, the
response has been far greater than I ever imagined. Thank you also for
the many hundreds of photographs, maps, and information submitted to the
site, I have really learnt a lot over the past few months.
At
last I have been able to scan and resize etc many of the images and finally
am able to update the site, as you can hopefully see it is now much more
professional, with the file sizes of all the images greatly reduced for
faster downloading, and the content being contained in frames for the
same purpose. There is also a little Flash content on the site, mainly
the buttons, so if you are unable to see any of the animated content,
please click on the logo below, this will take you to the download site,
where you can download the latest version of Flash player. Flash player
is very easy to download, it only takes about six or seven minutes and
it is totally free of charge.
Please
continue to submit your stories and photographs, I cannot guarantee to
put everything on the site, but potential new content is always welcome,
especially if you are able to tell us the origin of the pictures that
appear in the unknown section, (now available)
by clicking on the New drop
down menu, or if you have any more school photographs from whatever era
they are from.
